Half Marathon Ray

Ray 'The Cat' Puma is embarking on the Potteries Half Marathon in June, with all sponsorship revenues going to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

After giving up smoking a couple of years ago, Ray has been a regular member of the gym and this is his second half marathon, the last one being in 2010 when he was still eating a lot of pizza (see picture above).
Asked about his recent fitness regime Ray commented: "For every mile I run, I add one minute to my life. This enables me, at the age of 85, to spend an additional five months in a nursing home at £5,000 per month".
Erm, ok - sounds like a plan. And what about your charity Ray? "Douglas Macmillan Hospice cares for adults and their families across North Staffordshire, who have cancer and other life limiting illnesses, completely free of charge . The Hospice needs to raise over £9 million each year."

If you wish to sponsor Ray, go to www.justgiving.com/raymond-puma and donate online.

Good luck Ray!

Sandra's tour of India

Just to let you know that Sandra is now away for a month - taking in the sites of India. When asked about her forthcoming trip she said "Well Benidorm has it's charms but Kenny, Jacqueline and myself decided it was time for pastures new, and I've always wanted to go to India since rocking along to Led Zep's 'Kashmir' when I was a teenager. The only problem is that we miss Easter but we're taking some chocolate eggs with us - we just hope they don't melt".

Sandra will be back with us on Monday 8th April. In the meantime her phone is still active and Lynn or Ripley will be happy to deal with any issues you may have.

Enjoy your holiday Sandra!

New reception area

Back in Spring 2012 we ran an article in the (rather old fashioned) tabloid version of Splash! regarding Dennis Johnson and his renovation of the reception area.

Well, you know what builders are like and how it takes them two attempts to get anything right so we decided to give Dennis another chance and had him back again.

Some things hadn't changed, he still has the innate ability of all builders to get in everyone's way - but look at the work! Super smooth reception desk, spotlights and wall mounted television screen (so Ripley doesn't get bored) - it all looks fantastic.

So well done Dennis and thank you for all your hard work.

Introducing Mick Dean

This is Mick who is our new engineer. As Mike is spending more time out of the office quoting and project planning specialist cleans, we needed someone on site to maintain equipment and do repairs.

Mick joins us from Emmerdale where he was Zak Dingle's stunt double.
